Bearing you

Christmas Volume

You were my son –
You cuddled up to my arms
with trembling embrace
You were my father –
You looked at me;
You raised me.
You were my husband –
I’d become a loving wife
in your arms.
I gave birth to you.
Don’t cry, baby!
Transform the tears
Living is wonderful.
The first breath
is the link to Earth.
That’s how
the sky and the earth
turn to matter.
I used to feed you.
The first sip
brings you
the taste of life.
Our lips become one.
Let the rain come!
Let the wind blow!
Thunder carries the news:
They’re one,
that were once thorn.
Bread,
Salt,
Water.
I welcome you.
Get me to your mouth!
Taste me!
Drink from me!
